August 2025

Final Stages Underway

Construction at Olive St is moving into its final stages, with major works now complete across the building.

Recent progress includes wall linings, tiling through the walkways, carpets and final paint , planter installations, and site external works. Renowned Australian artist Jerome Davenport has brought the exterior of Olive St to life with a striking mural.

This month, the ground floor tiling, commissioning of building services, and final defecting will be completed.

Practical Completion is on track for mid/late-August 2025.

July 2025

Final Finishes and Landscaping

Construction at Olive St is nearing completion, with scaffolding now removed, the site energised, and key internal works completed across all levels.

Recent progress includes final tiling, cabinetry, balcony louvres and services on Level 5, plus walkway and amenity area fitouts.

For July, final paint, carpet, landscaping, building commissioning and defecting are all in progress.

Practical completion remains on track for mid/late-August 2025.

June 2025

Final Fit-Outs Underway

Construction at Olive St is progressing well, with the project now in its final stages. Recent progress includes:

  • Final painting and carpet installed on Level 2
  • Final painting now complete on Level 3
  • Timber flooring and balcony tiling finished on Level 4
  • Tiling and cabinetry progressing well on Level 5
  • Soffit lining and balustrading now complete on Levels 1–3 walkways
  • External painting currently 60% complete

With key finishing works underway across all levels and common areas, Olive St is quickly approaching completion.

May 2025

Scaffolding is Coming Down

  • The lift is now fully operational
  • External scaffolding is being progressively removed
  • Most external balustrades have been installed
  • Planters along external walkways have been filled

On Levels 4 and 5, ceilings and walls have been sheeted, the first coat of paint is complete, and external walkways have been screeded. Tiling and joinery installation are set to follow.

In the coming weeks, apartments on the Ground Floor and Levels 1 to 3 will be prepared for final cleaning and defect inspections.

Topping Out

Olive St. has officially reached “topping out“!

This major milestone means the highest point of the building’s structure is now complete!

With the framework finished, we’re one step closer to bringing Olive St. to life.

From here, the next phases of construction will shape the final vision.

Level 4 Slab Formwork

The construction team made significant progress throughout August and September, with key milestones now 100% complete, including:

  • B2 Blockwork Walls
  • GF Lightweight Walls
  • GF Commercial Steel
  • L1 Services 1st Fix
  • L3 Slab Pour
  • Level 4 Slab Formwork

Olive St. construction is steaming ahead and it’s amazing to see the transformation as the building starts to take shape more and more each day.

Level 2 Slab Reinforcement

July was another busy month for the Olive St. development team, with them fully completing the following tasks:

  • Ll 1 – slab pour (commercial)
  • Ll 1 to Ll 2 – AFS walls & columns
  • Ll 1 to Ll 2 – lift & stair cores
  • Ll 2 – slab formwork

It’s exciting to see how far Olive St. has come, and how much closer we’re getting to the finish line with each completed task.

Level 1 Slab Reinforcement

June kept the Olive St. development team on their toes, leading them to 100% complete the following works:

  • GF to L1 – lift & stair cores
  • L1 – slab formwork & reinforcement
  • L1 – residential slab pours

Each day brings significant advancements, with the team diligently working to ensure the project stays on track and meets its milestones.

Level 1 Slab Formwork

Since April, the construction team has made great strides, fully completing a variety of works on the first basement level and ground floor.

Additionally, the following works are underway:

  • GF to L1 AFS walls & columns (40% Complete)
  • GF to L1 lift & stair cores (40% Complete)
  • L1 slab formwork (50% Complete)

It’s exciting to see the Olive St. development gradually coming to life, as construction moves from the ground floor to level 1.

Ground floor slab formwork and reinforcement

Significant progress has been made on-site with various works now 100% complete across basement 1 and basement 2.

Additionally, several works are underway, including:

  • B1 to GF AFS walls (75% Complete)
  • GF slab formwork (90% Complete)
  • GF slab reinforcement (50% Complete)

Basement Floor Slab, Footings and Columns

March saw significant progress made with the basement 2 footings, columns, and floor slabs 75% completed.

Shotcrete, the spray method of applying concrete was 90% completed and the inground hydraulic services and stormwater cells were 100% completed as well.

The construction team is on track and every little accomplishment brings us one step closer to completion.

Shotcrete and Basement Walls

Since the new year, piling installation, piling capping beams and basement excavation have been 100% completed.

Additionally, works on shotcrete are 80% complete and the basement 2 blade walls are 70% complete.

It has been a busy start to 2024, but these works are all incredibly important in creating the foundation of Olive St.

Piling Installation and Capping Beams

Last month, the first phase of sewer diversion work was completed.

As a result, works on piling installation and piling capping beams were able to progress.

Both piling installation and piling capping beams are now 80% complete.

Sewer Diversion Progress

In September, the Olive St construction team completed the first stage of sewer diversion work.

Piling installation is 70% complete and the piling capping beams are 50% complete.

The remainder is set to be installed after sewer works are completed.
